Anyone who knows me knows about my love of cars. Some people think of a car as a mechanical device for getting from A to B, but for me that misses the point. Some cars have soul and brio and interacting with these can provide such pleasure. Even sitting looking at cars such as the E-Type Jaguar has its own reward; they're pure art.
I've had an appearance on 'Top Gear', ITV's 'From A to B' and also on Channel 4’s 'Deals on Wheels'. In fact, I even auditioned for Top Gear presenter, but didn't get the job. C'est la vie!
I'm a great fan of the Leslie Charteris books - better known as the writer of

Helicopter flying - I have had lessons and seem to be taking to it very well. The first time the acting pilot says "you have control" is a little unnerving as you then literally have the controls and know it is you that is flying the thing. That's me in the picture below, just taking off from Elstree - It's highly satisfying, but pretty expensive....
